Brief Updates from around the Northeast

I recently attended a gathering of our directors of Campus Crusade for Christ from throughout the Northeast. We gathered to grow, rest and learn together. In addition to working hard on strategy and skill development, we heard updates on what is happening around the region:
  • For the first time CCC became officially recognized at City College of NY (Colin Powell's Alma Mater).

  • In NYC We've had 18 students indicate decisions to trust Christ on 16 different campuses.

  • At Yale, a group of 20 men, about a third not yet believers, are meeting to study the Bible and pursue God.

  • A CCC group has started at St. John Fisher. 20 students got together for an outreach this last week. They showed a short film and had a discussion following. Three students indicated a decision to follow Christ. What began as a Bible Study is now a movement.

  • Students at the University of New Hampshire had an Easter event where three students indicated a decision to trust Jesus. Also they have seen open doors to help international students transition well to life in the US.

  • At Dartmouth, 70 students came to first weekly gathering. Some have come to faith in Jesus.

  • In Boston, 60 Student Leaders are trusting God to share the Gospel 5 times with their friends before the end of the semester.

  • University of Rochester Athletes in Action had 45 athletes at their first meeting.

  • And there are growing movements at Cornell, UCONN, UMASS, Providence College, University of Rhode Island, University of Bridgeport, Salem State College.

This is only a snapshot of what is happening throughout the Northeast. The gospel of Jesus is being shared and heard, bringing grace and truth to students in the Northeast.
